The Story of Jujak

When M.R. Bongsebrahma Chakrabandhu, royal descendant and Renaissance man, turned his creative talents to interior design and construction, there were no limits to his dreams.

He longed to establish a company whose ingenuity, passion for work, and pursuit of perfection was without comparison. In 1944, his dreams, the outlet for his expression, became Jujak.

Building a Legacy

Before long, Jujak Construction Co. had earned a reputation for excellence.  The company grew upon the pillars of elegant furnishings, intricate details and an impeccable sense of design.

With the creation of The Ambassador Bar at the Rattanakosin Hotel, the first cocktail lounge in Thailand, Jujak cemented its legacy and began to receive accolades from the highest levels, including H.M. the Queen.

The 1964 World’s Fair Thai Pavilion

After constructing the Thai Pavilion at the 1964 World’s Fair in New York, the company caught the attention of foreign firms as well, which took notice of the sense of perfection inherent in Jujak’s work. Since then, Jujak has worked on numerous interior design and construction projects, from royal government developments to commercial and private enterprises.
Led by the family of late M.R. “Broome” Chakrabandhu, Jujak continues its tradition of excellence today, tailoring full-service construction and design options to clients and partners in Thailand and abroad.
